What does increasing the concentration of substrate do during competitive inhibition?

Because both the substrate and inhibitor are competing for the same site in competitive inhibition, increasing the substrate concentration out competes the inhibitor and thereby reduces competitive inhibition. This increases Km but Vmax remains the same
