So 5*1/4 you will need to times 5 by the top of the fraction so 1*5 =5 so the new fraction work be 5/4 then if you divide 5 by 4 you would get 1 with a reminder of 1 which would go back on the fraction so the answer would be 1 1/4

So you would need to times 5( which is the same as 5/1) with the fraction 1/4, to multiply fractions, you need to multiply both numerators and denominators. So that would be, (5*1)/(1*4) which is 5/4 or in mixed fractions, a whole and a quarter.

5*1/4
You can convert 5 to (5/1). Thus you will have (5/1)*(1/4). Multiply the numerators and denominators to derive (5*1)/(1*4)=5/4. This can further be written as 1.25.

5x0.25 equals 1.25
5 x 1/4 =
5/1 x 1/4 =
5 x 1 = 5
1 x 4 = 4
therefore
= 5/4 or 1 1/4
The answer to 5 times 0.25 is 1.25
The answer is 5/4, think of 5 as 5/1. Times the 5 by the 1 and the 1 by the 4. This will provide the fraction 1/4.

The simplest way to do this would be to first convert the fraction into a decimal, to do that we need to divide the denominator by the numerator, in this case 1 divided by 4. The answer is now 0.25, now you can multiply the answer by 5, giving us 1.25 or 1 1/4.
I hope that is helpful.
