What do you do to a number when you multiply it by 100?

To multiply a number by 100, all of the digits move two columns to the left. For example 2 x 100 is 200!

When multiplying by 100, decimal point move two places to the right. Example 2 is really 2.0, multiplying by 100, move the decimal point 2 places to the right, so 2.00 x 100 - 200.00 = 200
