If we remove the zeroes we must answer 12/2. This is much easier and gives 6. Because we removed zeroes from both the 120 and the 20 we have our final answer.

In order to make this question a bit easier, we could divide both sides by 10, so we end up with the question: what is 12 divided by 2? (Or phrased in a different way, how many 2s go into 12?) We know this is 6, because 12 / 2 =6.
Because it is a division, and we have done the same to both sides (divided by 10), the answer to our original question of ‘how many 20s go into 120’ will be the same.
See here: 20 + 20 + 20 + 20 + 20 + 20 = 120
In this, I used 6 ‘20’s to show 120/20 is 6.

Hello! How's it going? I would divide 120 by 10 first which is 12! I would then divide that answer by 2! The answer is 6! Hope that helps!
