LCM is the method to find the smallest possible multiple of two or more numbers. LCM stands for Least common multiple. LCM of two numbers is divisible by both numbers. For example, the LCM of 6 and 8 is 24. Hence 24 is divisible by both 6 and 8.

LCM; Least common multiple.

It is the multiple of two other numbers. It can be used to find a common denominator of two fractions

Multiples of 3; 3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24,27,30

Multiples of 5; 5, 10, 15,20, 25, 30

common multiples are 15 and 30

Hope this helps

Hi LCM is Lowest Common Multiple or Factor.

To find the LCM you need to find which multiple you will need to write the multiples of both numbers and find the common number between the two.

For example to figure out the LCM of 10 and 12.

Multiples of 10 - 10, 20 ,30,40,50,60,70

Multiples of 12 - 12,24,36,48,60.

60 is the first common multiple so the LCM of 10 and 12 is 60.

I hope this helps :)

LCM is the Lowest Common Multiplier, it refers to the smallest whole number which can be obtained by multiplying each of the numbers in question. As an example, the LCM of 12 and 15 is 60 and can be easily obtained by way of a number line, such as in this example going (12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84, etc) and (15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, etc) and finding the first value which is common to each.

In Mathematics, the LCM of any two is the value that is evenly divisible by the two given numbers. The full form of LCM is Least Common Multiple. It is also called the Least Common Divisor (LCD). For example, LCM (4, 5) = 20. Here, the LCM 20 is divisible by both 4 and 5 such that 4 and 5 are called the divisors of 20.

LCM is also used to add or subtract any two fractions when the denominators of the fractions are different. While performing any mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction with fractions, LCM is used to make the denominators common. This process makes the simplification process easier.

LCM stands for Lowest Common Multiple.

It’s the smallest positive number that is a multiple of two or more numbers.

For example to find the LCM of 4 and 6, we would first need to list the multiples of each.

Remember multiples of a number are just the values in that numbers times table.

Multiples of 4 are 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24 …. (The list continues but let’s stop here for now)

Multiples of 6 are 6, 12, 18 …

To find the LCM we are looking for the smallest number in both times tables, it must be 12.

Therefore the LCM of 4 and 6 is 12.
